Beef and Vegetables Roll Recipe with Black Tea BBQ Seasoning
Ingredients:
- 6g black tea BBQ seasoning
- 1 cup boiling water
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions:
Prepare the Black Tea Marinade:
- In a small bowl, mix the black tea BBQ seasoning with the boiling water. Allow the tea to steep for 3-4 minutes, then strain and let it cool. This mixture will be used to marinate the ground beef.
Prepare the Dough:
- In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and warm water. Knead the dough until smooth. Let the dough rest, covered, for 30 minutes.
Marinate the Beef:
- In a separate bowl, mix the ground beef with the cooled black tea marinade. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Prepare the Filling:
- Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the marinated beef to the skillet, breaking it up as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper, and cook until the beef is browned and cooked through.
- Stir in the shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, and chopped green onions. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
- Add the soy sauce and sesame oil to the skillet, mixing well to combine all the flavors.
Assemble the Rolls:
- Divide the rested dough into 8 equal portions. Roll each portion into a thin circle, about 8 inches in diameter.
- Place a generous spoonful of the beef and vegetable mixture onto the lower third of each dough circle, leaving a border around the edges.
- Fold the sides of the dough over the filling, and roll up the roll from the bottom to create a tight roll.
Cook the Rolls:
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the rolls seam-side down, and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Serve:
- Slice each roll into 2-inch segments and serve warm, garnished with chopped fresh cilantro.
- Enjoy your Beef and Vegetables Roll with a hint of black tea BBQ seasoning, perfect for a hearty meal or a casual get-together. The tender dough and flavorful filling create a satisfying and delicious dish.
