Ingredients:

1 thin flatbread or pizza base

100 g sour cream or crème fraîche

80 g diced bacon

½ onion (thinly sliced or diced)

50 g mozzarella cheese (optional)

A small handful of fresh chives or scallions, finely chopped

Salt & black pepper, to taste
Instructions:

Prepare the Base
Roll out the flatbread very thin (even thinner than pizza) and place it on a baking tray. -
Spread the Cream
Evenly spread sour cream or crème fraîche over the base. Season lightly with salt and black pepper. -
Add the Toppings
Sprinkle bacon and onions evenly on top. Add mozzarella cheese if desired. -
Bake
Preheat oven to 220°C (430°F). Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden and crispy at the edges. -
Finish
Sprinkle with fresh chives or scallions before serving.
Tips:

Traditional Flammkuchen is light and doesn’t require cheese, but you can add mozzarella for extra flavor.
