Grilled Cod Recipe
Ingredients:
- 6g green tea bbq seasonings
- 2 cod fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Prepare the Cod:
- Start by seasoning your cod fillets with the green tea bbq seasonings, a pinch of salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Let them sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes while you prepare the other ingredients.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the cod fillets and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Once cooked, remove the cod from the pan and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Prepare the Lemon-Honey Sauce:
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the butter, allowing it to melt. Stir in the honey, dried dill, and garlic powder until well combined.
- Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into the skillet and stir, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly for about 2-3 minutes.
Combine the Cod and Sauce:
- Place the cooked cod fillets back into the skillet, spooning the lemon-honey sauce over the top. Let the fish cook for another 1-2 minutes to absorb the flavors of the sauce.
Garnish and Serve:
- Once the cod has absorbed the flavor from the sauce, transfer the fillets to a serving platter. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and lemon slices for a pop of color and freshness.
Enjoy Your Grilled Cod:
- Serve your delicious grilled cod as a light and flavorful main course. The tender cod pairs beautifully with the tangy and sweet lemon-honey sauce, creating a delightful balance of flavors. This dish is perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion. The addition of the green tea bbq seasonings brings a unique depth of flavor to the cod, enhancing the overall dish. Enjoy!
