Fried Black Pepper Sausage Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon black tea powder
- 1 cup boiling water
- 4 black pepper sausages
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil, for frying
- Salt to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the Black Tea Marinade:
- In a small bowl, mix the black tea powder with the boiling water. Allow the tea to steep for 3-4 minutes, then strain and let it cool. This mixture will be used to add a unique flavor to the sausages.
Marinate the Sausages:
- Place the sausages in a shallow dish and pour the cooled black tea marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 1 hour.
Prepare the Coating:
- In a shallow bowl, mix the flour with salt, freshly ground black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. In another bowl, place the beaten eggs. On a separate plate, spread out the breadcrumbs.
Coat the Sausages:
- Remove the sausages from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Dip each sausage into the flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, and finally roll in the breadcrumbs to coat evenly.
Fry the Sausages:
- Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a deep, heavy-bottomed pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Carefully place the coated sausages into the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Be sure not to overcrowd the pan.
Drain and Serve:
- Remove the fried sausages from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
- Serve the Fried Black Pepper Sausage warm, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
- Enjoy your Fried Black Pepper Sausage with a hint of black tea flavor, perfect for a snack or a side dish at a casual gathering. The crispy exterior and the spicy, savory interior make for a delicious and satisfying treat.
