Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon black tea powder
  • 4 cod fillets
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill or 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a spicy kick)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions:

Prepare the Black Tea Marinade:

  • In a small bowl, mix the black tea powder with 1 cup of hot water. Allow the tea to steep for 3-4 minutes, then strain and let it cool.

Marinate the Cod:

  • In a shallow dish, combine the olive oil, lemon zest, minced garlic, dill, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Whisk to blend.
  • Add the cod fillets to the marinade, turning to coat both sides. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Preheat the Grill:

  • Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 350°F/175°C).

Grill the Cod:

  • Remove the cod fillets from the marinade, letting any excess drip off. Discard the used marinade.
  • Place the cod fillets on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is opaque in the center.

Serve:

  • Transfer the grilled cod to a serving platter. Squeeze lemon juice over the top and garnish with lemon wedges and chopped fresh parsley.
  • Enjoy your Grilled Cod with a hint of black tea flavor, perfect for a light and healthy dinner.
