Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon black tea powder
  • 2 cans of tuna, drained and flaked
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill or 1 tablespoon fresh dill

Instructions:

Prepare the Black Tea:

  • Brew the black tea powder in 1/4 cup of hot water. Allow the tea to steep for 3-4 minutes, then strain and let it cool.

Make the Salad:

  • In a large bowl, combine the flaked tuna, mayonnaise, chopped celery, chopped red onion, chopped parsley, and chopped hard-boiled eggs.
  • Stir in the cooled black tea, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice.
  • Season with salt, freshly ground black pepper, and dried dill or fresh dill.
  • Mix well to combine all the ingredients thoroughly.

Adjust Flavors:

  • Taste the salad and adjust the seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or lemon juice as needed.

Serve:

  • Serve the tuna salad on a bed of lettuce, in a sandwich, or with crackers.
