  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 small tomato, sliced
  • 1 lettuce leaf or a handful of baby spinach
  • 1 hard-boiled egg, sliced
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Optional: 2-3 thin cucumber slices, remove the seeds for a neater presentation

Instructions:

Prepare the Green Tea Rubs:

  • Combine the green tea leaves, sugar, and spices in a small bowl to create the green tea rubs. This mixture will be used to add a unique flavor to the sandwich.

Prepare the Bread:

  • Lightly toast the bread slices until they are golden brown on both sides.

Assemble the Sandwich:

  • Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of two slices of bread. On the other two slices, spread the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard.
  • Place the bread slices with mayonnaise and mustard as the base for the sandwiches.

  • On each sandwich base, layer the following: a slice of cheese, slices of turkey, slices of ham, tomato slices, lettuce or spinach, and sliced hard-boiled egg.

Season the Sandwich:

  • Sprinkle the green tea rubs over the layered ingredients, pressing them gently to ensure they adhere.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Top with the Final Layer:

  • Place the buttered bread slices on top of the sandwiches, buttered side down.
