Cheesy Baked Shrimp Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon green tea rubs (a mixture of green tea leaves, sugar, and spices)
- 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper (any color)
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs (optional, for topping)
- 1 tablespoon melted butter (optional, for topping)
Instructions:
Prepare the Green Tea Rubs:
- Combine the green tea leaves, sugar, and spices in a small bowl to create the green tea rubs. This mixture will be used to season the shrimp.
Season the Shrimp:
- In a bowl, toss the shrimp with the green tea rubs, ensuring they are well coated.
Prepare the Cheese Mixture:
- In another bowl, mix together the shredded cheese, mayonnaise, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, chopped parsley, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Assemble the Shrimp:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a baking dish.
- Arrange the seasoned shrimp in the prepared baking dish. Top each shrimp with the cheese mixture, ensuring each shrimp is evenly covered.
Top with Bread Crumbs (optional):
- If using, sprinkle the bread crumbs over the cheese mixture and drizzle with melted butter.
Bake the Shrimp:
- Bake the shrimp in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through, and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serve:
- Remove the cheesy baked shrimp from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the Cheesy Baked Shrimp immediately, with a side of your choice, such as rice, pasta, or a fresh salad, and enjoy the rich flavors of the green tea-seasoned shrimp and the creamy, cheesy topping.
