Caviar and White Sauce Steak Recipe

Ingredients:
-
5g green tea rubs (a mixture of green tea leaves, sugar, and spices)
-
1 lb (450g) beef steak (such as ribeye or sirloin), about 1-inch thick
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
1 small onion, finely chopped
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
-
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
-
2 tablespoons caviar, for garnish
-
Optional: 1/4 cup toasted pine nuts or almonds, for garnish
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Green Tea Rubs:
-
Combine the green tea leaves, sugar, and spices in a small bowl to create the green tea rubs. This mixture will be used to season the steak.
-
-
Season the Steak:
-
Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Rub the green tea rubs all over the steak, pressing the rubs into the meat to ensure they adhere well.
-
-
Sear the Steak:
-
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak on both sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
-
-
Prepare the White Sauce:
-
In the same skillet, add the finely chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute, or until fragrant.
-
Stir in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
-
-
Slice the Steak:
-
Slice the rested steak against the grain into thin slices.
-
-
Assemble the Dish:
-
Arrange the sliced steak on a serving plate. Spoon the white sauce over the steak. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and a generous spoonful of caviar. If desired, sprinkle with toasted pine nuts or almonds.
