Garlic Roasted Potato Wedges Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon green tea rubs (a mixture of green tea leaves, sugar, and spices)
- 4 large russet potatoes, washed and cut into wedges
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary or 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme or 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
- Optional: 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the Green Tea Rubs:
- Combine the green tea leaves, sugar, and spices in a small bowl to create the green tea rubs. This mixture will be used to add a unique flavor to the potato wedges.
Season the Potatoes:
- In a large bowl, toss the potato wedges with olive oil until evenly coated. Add the minced garlic, dried or fresh rosemary, dried or fresh thyme, salt, and pepper. Toss again to ensure the potatoes are well seasoned.
- Sprinkle the green tea rubs over the potatoes and toss once more to coat evenly.
Roast the Potatoes:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- Arrange the seasoned potato wedges in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping the wedges halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside.
Finish and Serve:
- Remove the roasted potato wedges from the oven and let them cool slightly. Transfer the wedges to a serving platter.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and, if desired, grated Parmesan cheese.
- Serve the Garlic Roasted Potato Wedges immediately, enjoying the crispy texture and the aromatic flavors of garlic and herbs, with a subtle hint of green tea from the rubs.
