Ingredients:

  • 6g green tea bbq seasonings
  • 2 racks of pork ribs (about 2 pounds each)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions:

Prepare the Pork Ribs:

  • Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  • If necessary, remove the thin silver skin from the back of the ribs. This helps the ribs become tender while cooking.

Prepare the Marinade:

  • In a small bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, paprika, ground black pepper, cumin, cinnamon, and salt. Whisk well until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
  • Place the pork ribs in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Make sure the ribs are evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for deeper  flavor.

Cook the Ribs:

  • Take the marinated ribs out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 15-20 minutes before cooking.
  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. This will allow the heat to circulate around the ribs and make them cook evenly.
  • Place the ribs on the wire rack, bone side down. Reserve any remaining marinade for later use.
  • Cover the ribs with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours. The low and slow cooking process helps make the ribs tender and juicy.

Prepare the Glaze:

  • While the ribs are baking, pour the remaining marinade into a small saucepan and bring it to a simmer over medium heat. Allow it to cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly and becomes a glaze consistency.
  • Once the ribs are done, remove them from the oven and discard the aluminum foil.

Glaze the Ribs:

  • Brush a generous layer of the glaze over the ribs, making sure to coat them well. You can reserve some glaze for serving later.
  • Return the ribs to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes. During this time, the glaze will caramelize and form a beautiful, sticky coating on the ribs.

Serving the Ribs:

  • After the ribs are glazed and caramelized, remove them from the oven and let them rest for 5-10 minutes. This helps redistribute the juices inside the meat.
  • Slice the ribs between the bones, and serve with the remaining glaze for dipping.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a touch of color and freshness.

Optional Tips:

  • For extra smoky flavor: Grill the ribs for a few minutes after glazing them to get a nice char on the edges.
  • Serve with sides: These honey glazed pork ribs go wonderfully with mashed potatoes, coleslaw, or grilled vegetables for a complete meal.
  • Use a meat thermometer: To ensure the ribs are perfectly cooked, check that the internal temperature reaches 190°F (88°C) for tender, fall-off-the-bone results.

Pairing Suggestions:

  • Serve the ribs with a light beer or a fruity red wine such as Zinfandel for the perfect combination of sweetness and spice.
  • Enjoy your Honey Glazed Pork Ribs – tender, juicy ribs coated with a sweet and savory glaze that’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser. Whether for a casual dinner or a special occasion, this recipe will bring delicious flavor to your table.
