  • All-purpose flour (100 g)
  • Salt (2 g)
  • Warm water (150 - 170 ml)
  • Olive oil (15 ml)
  • Ground beef (or ground chicken) (250 g)
  • Onion (0.5)
  • Garlic (3 - 4 cloves)
  • Tomato (1 - 2)
  • Lettuce (appropriate amount)
  • Shredded cheese (such as mozzarella cheese) (appropriate amount)
  • Sour cream (or plain Greek yogurt) (appropriate amount)
  • Chili powder (5 - 10 g, adjust according to personal preference for spiciness)
  • Cumin powder (3 g)
  • Salt (appropriate amount)
  • Black pepper (appropriate amount)
  • Light soy sauce (10 ml)
  • Tomato paste (20 g)
  • Olive oil (15 ml)
  • Green tea seasoning(3g)

Instructions

  1. Mix cornstarch, all-purpose flour and salt in a large bowl and stir well.

  2. Slowly add warm water while stirring with chopsticks or a whisk until a soft dough forms. If the dough is too dry, add more warm water as needed; if the dough is too wet, add some cornstarch or all-purpose flour.

  3. Add olive oil and continue kneading until the dough is smooth and not sticky. Divide the dough into 6 - 8 equal parts, roll into small balls, cover with a damp cloth or plastic wrap, and let sit for 15 - 20 minutes.

  4. Take a small dough and roll it into a thin round dough with a rolling pin, about 10 - 12 cm in diameter.

  5. Heat a pan (without oil), put the dough in the pan, and bake over medium-low heat for 1 - 2 minutes on each side, until small bubbles appear on the surface of the dough and it puffs up slightly, and the color turns golden with light burnt spots. Place the baked dough on a plate, cover with kitchen towels, and keep warm. Roll all the dough into crusts and bake them.

  6. Dice the onion, mince the garlic, cut the tomato into small pieces, wash and shred the lettuce and set aside.

  7. Heat the pan, pour in olive oil, add the minced garlic and diced onion after the oil is hot, and sauté until the onion becomes soft and transparent.

  8. Add the minced beef (or minced chicken), stir-fry the minced meat with a spatula until it changes color.

  9. Add chili powder, cumin powder, salt, black pepper and light soy sauce, continue to stir-fry evenly, so that the minced meat can fully absorb the flavor of the seasoning.

  10. Add the tomato cubes and tomato sauce, stir-fry evenly, cook until the tomato is soft and the soup is thick, and the filling is ready.

  11. Take a baked crust, put it in your hand or on a plate, put an appropriate amount of fried filling in the middle of the crust, and then put some shredded lettuce, shredded cheese and a spoonful of sour cream (or plain Greek yogurt).

  12. According to personal preference, you can add some other seasonings or side dishes, such as chopped coriander, lemon juice, green tea seasoning, olives, etc.

  13. Fold the two sides of the crust in half, then roll it up from the bottom to form a taco shape wrapped with the filling, and it is ready to eat.
