Ingredients:

  • 300g beef (sirloin or chuck), cut into small chunks

  • 150g pineapple, diced

  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (for marinating beef)

  • Cooking oil, as needed

Sauce:

  • 1.5 tablespoons light soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

  • 1 tablespoon ketchup

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar or lemon juice

  • 2 tablespoons water (optional: add a bit of cornstarch slurry for thickness)

  • 1 teaspoon black tea rubs

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the beef: Toss beef chunks with soy sauce, black tea rubs, black pepper, and cornstarch. Let marinate for 10–15 minutes.

  2. Pan-sear the beef: Heat oil in a pan. Sear the beef until browned and slightly crispy on the edges. Set aside.

  3. Sauté garlic and pineapple: In the same pan, add a bit more oil. Stir-fry the minced garlic and pineapple until fragrant.

  4. Combine and cook with sauce: Return the beef to the pan. Add all sauce ingredients and stir well. Cook until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.

  5. Serve: Plate and garnish with chopped herbs such as rosemary or scallions, if desired. Serve hot!
