Italian Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 5g green tea rubs (a mixture of green tea leaves, sugar, and spices)
  • 9 lasagna noodles (uncooked)
  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cans (6 oz each) tomato paste
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil, for garnish
Instructions:
  1. Prepare the Green Tea Rubs:
    • Combine the green tea leaves, sugar, and spices in a small bowl to create the green tea rubs. This mixture will be used to season the ground beef.
  2. Cook the Noodles:
    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Meat Sauce:
    • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until the onion is softened, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and green tea rubs. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer the sauce for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Prepare the Ricotta Mixture:
    • In a medium bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, and 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Assemble the Lasagna:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a 9x13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom. Arrange 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce. Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese and 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese. Add another layer of meat sauce. Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of noodles, meat sauce, and a final layer of cheeses.
  6. Bake the Lasagna:
    • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Rest and Serve:
    • Let the lasagna rest for 15 minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped fresh basil.
  8. Serve Immediately:
    • Serve the Italian Lasagna immediately, enjoying the layers of flavorful meat sauce, creamy ricotta, and melted cheeses.
Enjoy your delicious Italian Lasagna!
