Parmesan and Tomato Pasta Recipe
Ingredients:
-
5g green tea rubs (a mixture of green tea leaves, sugar, and spices)
-
12 oz (340g) pasta of your choice (such as spaghetti, fettuccine, or penne)
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
1 small onion, finely chopped
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1/4 cup white wine (optional)
-
1/4 cup chicken broth
-
1/4 cup tomato sauce
-
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
-
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
-
Optional: 1/4 cup toasted pine nuts or almonds, for garnish
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Green Tea Rubs:
-
Combine the green tea leaves, sugar, and spices in a small bowl to create the green tea rubs. This mixture will be used to season the pasta.
-
-
Cook the Pasta:
-
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving about 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
-
-
Sauté the Aromatics:
-
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute, or until fragrant.
-
-
Simmer the Sauce:
-
Stir in the white wine (if using), chicken broth, and tomato sauce. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
-
-
Combine the Pasta and Sauce:
-
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss gently to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to achieve the desired consistency.
-
-
Finish and Serve:
-
Transfer the pasta to a serving dish. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley. If desired, add toasted pine nuts or almonds for extra texture.
-
-
Serve Immediately:
-
Serve the Parmesan and Tomato Pasta immediately, enjoying the creamy, flavorful sauce and the subtle hint of green tea from the rubs.
-
Enjoy your delicious Parmesan and Tomato Pasta!
