Curried Cheese Pasta Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 5g green tea rubs (a mixture of green tea leaves, sugar, and spices)
  • 12 oz (340g) pasta of your choice (such as fettuccine, linguine, or penne)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup curry powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Optional: 1/4 cup toasted pine nuts or almonds, for garnish
Instructions:
  1. Prepare the Green Tea Rubs:
    • Combine the green tea leaves, sugar, and spices in a small bowl to create the green tea rubs. This mixture will be used to season the pasta.
  2. Cook the Pasta:
    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving about 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
  3. Make the Curried Cheese Sauce:
    • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Simmer the Sauce:
    • Stir in the heavy cream and curry powder. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Combine the Pasta and Sauce:
    • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the curried cheese sauce. Toss gently to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to achieve the desired consistency.
  6. Finish and Serve:
    • Transfer the pasta to a serving dish. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and, if desired, toasted pine nuts or almonds.
  7. Serve Immediately:
    • Serve the Curried Cheese Pasta immediately, enjoying the creamy, flavorful sauce with the subtle hint of green tea from the rubs.
Enjoy your delicious Curried Cheese Pasta!
