Curried Cheese Pasta Recipe
Ingredients:
-
5g green tea rubs (a mixture of green tea leaves, sugar, and spices)
-
12 oz (340g) pasta of your choice (such as fettuccine, linguine, or penne)
-
2 tablespoons butter
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
1/4 cup curry powder
-
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
-
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
-
Optional: 1/4 cup toasted pine nuts or almonds, for garnish
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Green Tea Rubs:
-
Combine the green tea leaves, sugar, and spices in a small bowl to create the green tea rubs. This mixture will be used to season the pasta.
-
-
Cook the Pasta:
-
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving about 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
-
-
Make the Curried Cheese Sauce:
-
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
-
-
Simmer the Sauce:
-
Stir in the heavy cream and curry powder. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
-
-
Combine the Pasta and Sauce:
-
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the curried cheese sauce. Toss gently to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to achieve the desired consistency.
-
-
Finish and Serve:
-
Transfer the pasta to a serving dish. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and, if desired, toasted pine nuts or almonds.
-
-
Serve Immediately:
-
Serve the Curried Cheese Pasta immediately, enjoying the creamy, flavorful sauce with the subtle hint of green tea from the rubs.
-
Enjoy your delicious Curried Cheese Pasta!
