English Fried Egg Sandwich Recipe
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon green tea rubs (a mixture of green tea leaves, sugar, and spices)
4 large eggs
4 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or your choice)
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 small tomato, sliced
2 slices of cooked bacon (optional)
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or cilantro, for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the Green Tea Rubs:
Combine the green tea leaves, sugar, and spices in a small bowl to create the green tea rubs. This mixture will be used to add a unique flavor to the eggs.
Cook the Eggs:
2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add a small amount of butter or margarine. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook to your desired level of doneness (sunny-side up or over-easy are popular choices). Season the eggs with salt, pepper, and a sprinkle of the green tea rubs.
Toast the Bread:
3. While the eggs are cooking, toast the bread slices to your desired level of crispiness.
Assemble the Sandwich:
4. Spread a layer of butter or margarine on one side of each toast slice. Place a slice of toast on a plate, buttered side up.
If using, layer the cooked bacon on top of the toast. Add the fried eggs on top of the bacon. If desired, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the eggs.
Top with slices of fresh tomato. Add a sprinkle of chopped fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish.
Finish and Serve:
7. Place the second slice of toast on top, buttered side down. Press down gently to secure the sandwich.
Serve the English Fried Egg Sandwich immediately, enjoying the combination of crispy toast, tender eggs, and the subtle hint of green tea from the rubs.
