Spanish Steak with Green Tea BBQ Seasonings
Ingredients:
- 6g green tea BBQ seasonings
- 4 boneless rib-eye or strip steaks (about 12 oz each)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup sherry vinegar
- 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons horseradish, drained
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon molasses
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the Steak:
- Brush the steaks with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Rub 3g of the green tea BBQ seasonings on one side of each steak。
Grill the Steak:
- Preheat a grill or grill pan to high heat. Grill the steaks rub-side down for 3-4 minutes, then flip and grill for another 5-6 minutes for medium-rare。
Make the Sauce:
- In a blender, combine 2 grilled and chopped red bell peppers (or 6 piquillo peppers), 1/2 cup sherry vinegar, 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard, 2 tablespoons horseradish, 2 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon molasses, 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, and 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper。
- Blend until smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add a little water。
Serve:
- Serve the grilled steaks with the sherry vinegar sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley and the remaining 3g of green tea BBQ seasonings。
Tips for Success:
- Use Fresh Ingredients: Fresh spices and peppers will enhance the flavor of the steak。
- Adjust Cooking Time: Adjust the grilling time based on your preferred doneness。
- Rest the Steak: Let the steaks rest for a few minutes after grilling to allow the juices to redistribute。
- Make Extra Sauce: Double the sauce recipe for extra flavor。
- This Spanish steak recipe combines the smoky flavor of green tea BBQ seasonings with a tangy sherry vinegar sauce, making it a perfect dish for any occasion。
