Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs with Green Tea BBQ Seasonings
Ingredients:
- 6g green tea BBQ seasonings
- 750g pork ribs, cut into small pieces
- 2 slices ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine (or dry sherry)
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 cup water
- Optional: 6 dried plums or hawthorn berries for added flavor
Instructions:
Prepare the Ribs:
- Rinse the pork ribs and soak in water for 30 minutes to remove blood and impurities。Drain and pat dry with paper towels。
Sauté the Ribs:
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger slices, sauté until fragrant。
- Add the pork ribs and stir-fry until the ribs are golden brown。
Add Seasonings and Liquids:
- Add the Shaoxing wine, dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and water。If using, add the dried plums or hawthorn berries。
- Stir well to coat the ribs evenly with the sauce。
Simmer the Ribs:
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for about 30-40 minutes,or until the ribs are tender。
Add Green Tea BBQ Seasonings:
- Stir in 3g of the green tea BBQ seasonings and continue to simmer for another 5 minutes。
Thicken the Sauce:
- Uncover the pot and increase the heat to high. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking。Cook until the sauce thickens and coats the ribs。
Garnish and Serve:
- Sprinkle the remaining 3g of green tea BBQ seasonings over the ribs。Garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds。Serve hot with steamed rice。
