Ingredients:
-
300g beef (sirloin or chuck), cut into small chunks
-
150g pineapple, diced
-
1 teaspoon minced garlic
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
-
1 tablespoon cornstarch (for marinating beef)
-
Cooking oil, as needed
Sauce:
-
1.5 tablespoons light soy sauce
-
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
-
1 tablespoon ketchup
-
1 teaspoon sugar
-
1 teaspoon white vinegar or lemon juice
-
2 tablespoons water (optional: add a bit of cornstarch slurry for thickness)
-
1 teaspoon black tea rubs
Instructions:
-
Marinate the beef: Toss beef chunks with soy sauce, black tea rubs, black pepper, and cornstarch. Let marinate for 10–15 minutes.
-
Pan-sear the beef: Heat oil in a pan. Sear the beef until browned and slightly crispy on the edges. Set aside.
-
Sauté garlic and pineapple: In the same pan, add a bit more oil. Stir-fry the minced garlic and pineapple until fragrant.
-
Combine and cook with sauce: Return the beef to the pan. Add all sauce ingredients and stir well. Cook until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.
-
Serve: Plate and garnish with chopped herbs such as rosemary or scallions, if desired. Serve hot!
