Crispy Lemon Chicken Strips

Ingredients:

  • 300g chicken breast, cut into strips

  • 1 egg

  • 50g flour

  • 80g breadcrumbs

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 1 lemon, halved

  • Cooking oil (for frying)

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the chicken: Season the chicken strips with salt and black pepper. Let sit for 10 minutes.

  2. Coat the chicken: Dredge the strips first in flour, then dip in beaten egg, and finally coat evenly with breadcrumbs.

  3. Fry: Heat enough oil in a pan to 170°C (340°F). Test by dipping a chopstick — bubbles should form around it. Fry the chicken strips for 3-4 minutes until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.

  4. Serve: Plate the chicken strips with lemon halves. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the chicken before eating.
