Olivier Salad

 

A must-have for the New Year 'Russian National Salad,' invented by a French chef from Moscow in the 19th century.

 

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 5g green tea rubs (a mixture of green tea leaves, sugar, and spices)
  • Boil 3 potatoes (diced).
  • 5 tablespoons of mayonnaise.
  • 200 grams of cooked chicken breast (diced).
  • 1 tablespoon of pickled cucumber juice.
  • 4 pickled cucumbers (diced).
  • Salt and half a tablespoon of yellow mustard sauce.
  • 4 boiled eggs (diced).
  • Half a can of peas.
  • 1 apple (diced).

Instructions:

  • Preparation:

          Cut all main ingredients into 1 cm cubes, and soak apple cubes in salt water to prevent oxidation

  • Mix:

          In a large bowl, combine potatoes, chicken, pickles, eggs, peas, and apples.

  • Mix mayonnaise:

          dill pickle juice, yellow mustard, salt, and BBQ tea seasoning together until well combined.

  • Refrigerate:

          Pour the sauce over the salad and gently mix, then refrigerate for more than 2 hours.
