Scallion and Okra Salad Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 5g green tea rubs (a mixture of green tea leaves, sugar, and spices)
  • 200g fresh okra, tips and tails trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Optional: 1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions:
  1. Prepare the Green Tea Rubs:
    • Combine the green tea leaves, sugar, and spices in a small bowl to create the green tea rubs. This mixture will be used to season the okra.
  2. Cook the Okra:
    • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the okra and cook for about 2-3 minutes until tender but still crisp. Drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté the Aromatics:
    • Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  4. Simmer the Sauce:
    • Stir in the white wine vinegar and soy sauce. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Combine the Ingredients:
