Lobster and Okra Pan-Fry Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 1 whole lobster (about 1.5 kg), cleaned and cut into pieces
  • 200g fresh okra, tips and tails trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Optional: 1/4 cup toasted pine nuts or almonds, for garnish
Instructions:
  1. Prepare the Lobster:
    • Clean the lobster and cut it into pieces. Pat the pieces dry with paper towels.
  2. Cook the Okra:
    • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the okra and cook for about 2 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté the Aromatics:
    • Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  4. Season the Lobster:
    • Season the lobster pieces with salt and freshly ground black pepper. If using, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  5. Pan-Fry the Lobster and Okra:
    • Add the lobster pieces to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until the lobster is cooked through and slightly crispy on the outside. Add the cooked okra to the skillet and toss everything together.
