Ingredients

  • 1 pizza base (homemade or store-bought)

  • 3–4 tbsp tomato sauce

  • 100 g shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 6–8 slices fresh mozzarella (optional)

  • Fresh basil leaves or thinly sliced basil — to taste

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the base: If using a frozen pizza base, thaw it first. For homemade dough, prepare in advance and roll into a round shape.

  2. Spread the toppings: Evenly spread tomato sauce over the base. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese, then arrange fresh mozzarella slices on top.

  3. Bake: Preheat the oven to 220 °C (430 °F) and bake in the middle rack for 8–12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.

  4. Garnish: Remove from the oven, top with fresh basil (or sliced basil), and drizzle with olive oil.

  5. Serve: Cut into 6–8 slices and enjoy immediately.
