Grilled Cod with Tea Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon black tea powder
- 4 cod fillets
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried dill or 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a spicy kick)
- Lemon wedges, for serving
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the Black Tea Marinade:
- In a small bowl, mix the black tea powder with 1 cup of hot water. Allow the tea to steep for 3-4 minutes, then strain and let it cool.
Marinate the Cod:
- In a shallow dish, combine the olive oil, lemon zest, minced garlic, dill, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Whisk to blend.
- Add the cod fillets to the marinade, turning to coat both sides. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Preheat the Grill:
- Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 350°F/175°C).
Grill the Cod:
- Remove the cod fillets from the marinade, letting any excess drip off. Discard the used marinade.
- Place the cod fillets on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is opaque in the center.
Serve:
- Transfer the grilled cod to a serving platter. Squeeze lemon juice over the top and garnish with lemon wedges and chopped fresh parsley.
- Enjoy your Grilled Cod with a hint of black tea flavor, perfect for a light and healthy dinner.
