Chocolate Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons black tea powder
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 8 ounces semisweet chocolate, melted
Instructions:
Prepare the Black Tea:
- Brew the black tea powder in 1 cup of hot water. Allow the tea to steep for 3-4 minutes, then remove the tea leaves or strain the liquid to ensure a smooth mixture. Set aside to cool.
Prepare the Dry Ingredients:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Prepare the Wet Ingredients:
- In another bowl, combine the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and the brewed black tea. Whisk until well combined.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Add Melt Chocolate:
- Stir in the melted semisweet chocolate into the batter until evenly distributed.
Bake the Cake:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch round cake pans and line the bottoms with parchment paper.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve:
- Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, you can frost the cakes with your choice of chocolate frosting or serve them as is.
- Enjoy your rich and moist Chocolate Cake with a subtle hint of black tea flavor.
