Ingredients

  • Minced meat (beef or lamb): 500 grams

  • Onion: 1 (medium-sized, chopped)

  • Garlic: 2 - 3 cloves (minced)

  • Bread crumbs: 1/2 cup

  • Egg: 1

  • Tomato paste: 2 - 3 tablespoons

  • Cumin powder: 1 - 2 teaspoons

  • Coriander powder: 1 - 2 teaspoons

  • Chili powder (optional): 1/2 - 1 teaspoon

  • Salt: 1 - 1.5 teaspoons

  • Black pepper powder: 1/2 - 1 teaspoon

  • Fresh parsley (chopped): 2 - 3 tablespoons

  • Olive oil: 2 - 3 tablespoons (for frying)

  • Tomato paste: 1/2 cup

  • Water: 1/2 cup

  • Sugar: 1 - 2 teaspoons

  • Salt: 1/2 - 1 teaspoon

  • Lemon juice: 1 - 2 tablespoons

  • Chili powder (optional): 1/2 - 1 teaspoon

  • Tea seasoning: 3- 5g

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, bread crumbs, egg, 2 - 3 tablespoons tomato paste, cumin, coriander, chili powder (if using), salt, tea rubs, black pepper, and chopped parsley.

2. Mix well with your hands until everything is well combined.

3. Divide the ground meat into equal portions and form into round meatballs.

4. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.

5. Add the meatballs to the pan and fry until golden brown on all sides, about 8 - 10 minutes. Make sure the meatballs are cooked through on the inside.

6. In a small pot, combine 1/2 cup tomato paste, 1/2 cup water, sugar, salt, lemon juice, and chili powder (if using).

7. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens, about 5 - 7 minutes.

8. Place the fried meatballs on a plate, pour the prepared sauce on top and serve.
