Cream Sandwich
Ingredients
-
Puff pastry: 2 - 3 sheets
-
Cream cheese: 150 - 200 g
-
Sour cream (optional): 50 - 100 g
-
Fresh fruits (such as grapes, figs, strawberries, etc.): an appropriate amount
-
Onion: 1/2, sliced thinly
-
Honey: 20 - 30 ml
-
Fresh herbs (such as thyme, rosemary): an appropriate amount
-
Salt: 2 - 3 g
-
Black pepper: 2 - 3 g
Instructions
-
Remove puff pastry from freezer and thaw at room temperature. Bake according to package instructions, usually in a preheated oven at 200 - 220°C for 12 - 15 minutes, until puffed and golden brown. Remove and let cool.
-
In a bowl, mix cream cheese and sour cream (if using). Season with salt, Black tea powder barbecue seasoning, and black pepper.
-
Lay puff pastry flat on a board. Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over puff pastry.
-
Layer fresh fruit and sliced onions.
-
Drizzle fruit and onions with honey and sprinkle with fresh herbs.
-
If you have multiple layers of puff pastry, repeat the above steps, layering layers of puff pastry and fillings on top of each other.
-
Place assembled butter sandwiches on a plate and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
Tips
-
The puff pastry may expand during baking. To prevent it from expanding too much, you can poke some small holes in the puff pastry with a fork before baking.
-
You can choose different fruits and herbs to match according to your personal taste, such as blueberries instead of grapes, or basil instead of thyme.
-
If you like a sweeter taste, you can increase the amount of honey.
