Ingredients:

Potatoes – 2 medium, boiled and mashed

Cheese or cream cheese – 80–100 g (cut into small cubes)

Onion – finely chopped, small amount

Fresh cilantro – finely chopped

Chili powder – to taste

Cumin powder or garam masala – 1 tsp

Salt – to taste

All-purpose flour

Beaten egg

Breadcrumbs
For frying

Instructions
1. Prepare the potato mixture
In a bowl, combine mashed potatoes, chopped onion, cilantro, chili powder, cumin or garam masala, and salt.
Mix until well combined.
2. Fill with cheese
- Take a small portion of the potato mixture, flatten it slightly, and place a cube of cheese in the center.
- Seal and shape into a small log or round croquette.
3. Coat
Roll each croquette in flour, then dip into beaten egg, and finally coat evenly with breadcrumbs.
4. Fry
- Heat oil to 170–180°C (340–355°F).
- Fry croquettes in batches until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
- Remove and drain excess oil.
5. Serve
- Sprinkle lightly with chili powder and fresh cilantro.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges, yogurt dip, or a light dusting of Tea BBQ rubs for a smoky, modern twist.
