1 pizza base (homemade or store-bought)

3–4 tbsp tomato sauce

100 g shredded mozzarella cheese

6–8 slices fresh mozzarella (optional)

Fresh basil leaves or thinly sliced basil — to taste

1 tbsp olive oil

A pinch of salt
Instructions

Prepare the base: If using a frozen pizza base, thaw it first. For homemade dough, prepare in advance and roll into a round shape.

Spread the toppings: Evenly spread tomato sauce over the base. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese, then arrange fresh mozzarella slices on top.

Bake: Preheat the oven to 220 °C (430 °F) and bake in the middle rack for 8–12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.

Garnish: Remove from the oven, top with fresh basil (or sliced basil), and drizzle with olive oil.

Serve: Cut into 6–8 slices and enjoy immediately.
