Russian-style pickled mushrooms(Griby v smetane)
This dish originates from the celebration feast of Russian nobles after a hunt, using fresh mushrooms hunted on the same day.
Ingredients:
- 5g BBQ tea seasoning
- Wild mushrooms (boletus or white mushrooms) 500g
- Sour cream 200ml
- 1 onion
- 3 cloves of garlicDill,
- black pepper, and salt to taste
Instructions:
1. Clean the mushrooms and slice them, blanch in salt water for 3 minutes.
2. Slice the onion and stir-fry until transparent, then add the mushrooms and stir-fry.
3. Pour in the sour cream and sprinkle with BBQ tea seasoning, simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
4. Add minced garlic and dill.
Key tips:
You must use wild mushrooms, cultivated mushrooms lack flavor.
Sour cream should be added in the last 10 minutes to prevent separation.
The flavor is better after refrigerating overnight.
