Korean Bibimbap Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 5g green tea rubs (a mixture of green tea leaves, sugar, and spices)
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 eggs, poached or fried
  • 1/2 cup sliced carrots, julienned
  • 1/2 cup sliced zucchini, julienned
  • 1/2 cup sliced spinach
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup sliced bean sprouts
  • 1/2 cup sliced beef (sirloin or flank), cooked and sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions, for garnish
  • 1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions:
  1. Prepare the Green Tea Rubs:
    • Combine the green tea leaves, sugar, and spices in a small bowl to create the green tea rubs. This mixture will be used to season the beef.
  2. Season the Beef:
    • Pat the sliced beef dry with paper towels. Rub the green tea rubs all over the beef, pressing the rubs into the meat to ensure they adhere well.
  3. Cook the Vegetables:
    • Heat a small amount of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced carrots, zucchini, spinach, mushrooms, and bean sprouts. Cook each vegetable separately until tender but still crisp. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook the Beef:
    • In the same skillet, cook the seasoned beef slices until browned and cooked through. Set aside.
  5. Prepare the Sauce:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and honey until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Assemble the Bibimbap:
    • In a large bowl, place a bed of cooked white rice. Arrange the cooked vegetables, sliced beef, and poached or fried eggs on top of the rice.
  7. Drizzle the Sauce:
    • Drizzle the prepared sauce over the bibimbap. Toss gently to combine everything.
  8. Garnish and Serve:
    • Garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve the Korean Bibimbap immediately.
Enjoy your delicious Korean Bibimbap!
