Caprese Salad Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb (450g) fresh tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini) or sliced fresh mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Optional: 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, for garnish
Instructions:
  1. Prepare the Tomatoes and Mozzarella:
    • Rinse the tomatoes and slice them. If using fresh mozzarella balls, leave them whole; if using sliced fresh mozzarella, arrange the slices on a serving plate.
  2. Make the Dressing:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the extra-virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  3. Assemble the Salad:
