Caprese Salad Recipe

Ingredients:

1 lb (450g) fresh tomatoes, sliced

1/2 cup fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini) or sliced fresh mozzarella

1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn

1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Optional: 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, for garnish
Instructions:

Prepare the Tomatoes and Mozzarella:

Rinse the tomatoes and slice them. If using fresh mozzarella balls, leave them whole; if using sliced fresh mozzarella, arrange the slices on a serving plate.
