Turkish Pilaf Recipe

Ingredients:
-
9g Tea&Grill BBQ green tea seasoning
-
2 cups basmati rice, rinsed and drained
-
1/4 cup olive oil
-
1 onion, finely chopped
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
-
1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
-
1/4 cup chopped fresh mint
-
1/2 cup pine nuts, toasted
-
1/2 cup raisins
-
1/4 cup lemon juice
-
1/4 cup chicken broth
-
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
-
1/4 cup chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the Rice:
-
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the rinsed basmati rice and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the rice is slightly undercooked. Drain the rice and set aside.
Cook the Aromatics:
-
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until it is translucent and slightly golden, about 5-7 minutes. Add the minced garlic and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Combine and Simmer:
-
Add the cooked rice to the skillet with the onions and garlic. Stir in the chopped parsley, dill, mint, toasted pine nuts, raisins, lemon juice, and chicken broth. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
-
Season the mixture with salt, black pepper, and 5g of the Tea&Grill BBQ green tea seasoning. Stir well to ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed.
-
Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet with a tight-fitting lid, and let the rice simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is fully cooked and has absorbed all the liquid.
Finish and Serve:
-
Once the rice is cooked, remove it from the heat and let it sit, covered, for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
-
Fluff the rice with a fork. Transfer the Turkish pilaf to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of additional fresh herbs if desired.
-
Serve immediately, enjoying the fragrant, flavorful Turkish Pilaf with the unique touch of green tea seasoning.
Enjoy your delicious Turkish Pilaf!
